Are you ready to ask better questions?
Feedback forms, polls, annual reviews, onboarding forms, market research, surveys for studies — they may look and feel different, but the essence remains the same. All of these formats are really the same thing — a collection of questions designed to get you the information you want.
In other words, they’re surveys!
Surveys are an amazing way to collect valuable information. They can quickly and easily gather insights from many or just a few people. But remember, the quality of your data depends on the quality of your questions.
Whether you're a school, a solopreneur, a non-profit, or a Fortune 500 company, let’s make sure you are asking questions in a way that gets you meaningful information you can actually use.
I designed my first survey back in 2013. It was a teacher survey for a randomized control trial of a new math intervention in a major U.S. City. After that, I’d go on to lead the design of the School District of Philadelphia’s annual surveys for school leaders, teachers, students, and families. I’ve led the design of school leader, teacher, coach, and student surveys for a national Bill & Melinda Gates study of professional learning, and I’ve also helped schools, small businesses, and non-profits create surveys that would launch on a much smaller scale. For fun, I do “question makeovers” on TikTok, Instagram, and Youtube.

Words from past clients
“This is not an area to cut corners.”
Feedback is valuable and asking the right questions in the right way is essential. It is so easy to make errors or to put off respondents. Working with Kirsten has made our questionnaire more professional and effective. This is not an area to cut corners. Kirsten is quick to respond and has experience to make our project as good as it can be. I am really pleased with eh ideas and suggestions that Kirsten made. Everyone should get Kirsten's help. Thank you Kirsten

“…made us feel confident in our work.”
We engaged Kirsten to help us reimagine how we write surveys for families. In just an hour Kirsten was able to give us general insights to surveying as well as targeted insights based on our unique needs and goals. By having her expertise behind us we were able to more effectively learn from families through revisions to the way we ask, the style of question, the behind the scenes set-up, and the follow through with families. …She was a delight to work with, has deep knowledge that she can disseminate with clarity and made us feel confident in our work.

“She was able to keep things pretty simple and straightforward. ”
Kirsten impressed everyone on my team. As an entrepreneur who consistently brings in different experts to help optimize the different parts of my business, it is not uncommon for me to find people who excel in what they do. But Kirsten's caliber was extraordinary - my team and I didn't feel the need to review the notes multiple times or watch the video again and again to implement her suggestions. She was able to keep things pretty simple and straightforward. And as someone who values time over money, I truly appreciate how Kirsten didn't waste my time, and that of my team's.
